Bollywood Dance Classes
Foram uses dance as a means of self expression, helping others discover their free spirit.
Foram’s journey into dance began when she was a mere teenager, exploring the free-flowing Folk dance of Gujarat – Garba. This also led her to being a Megawinner for ‘Navratri Mahotsav’ in Gujarat for 5 years consistently since 1993. Having won many accolades, including state level awards for her folk dancing skills, she further sought training at the esteemed Mallika Sarabhai’s institute, Darpan. Since then, she has been trained under veterans like the master of contemporary dance, Terrence Lewis and the doyen of Bollywood, choreographer Saroj Khan, whom she also assisted for the film, ‘Saawariya’. She has been successfully running Foram’s Dance Academy since close to a decade and a half in Mumbai, India. She now brings her expertise to London at the Brent Indian Association since over a year, exploring with the participants different styles like Western Dance Forms, Indian Folk Dance, and Garba.
Foram combines a collection of influences in her choreography, making each piece unique for the performer. She has performed for over a 100 shows in various capacities across the country. Her adept choreography can be seen in over 600 stage performances conceptualised, organised and choreographed by her at Wedding Sangeets, Annual School Performances, and Corporate Shows.
Foram was a lead performer for the Gujarati Musical drama “Laagi lagni Shreenaathjini”, directed by veteran Gujarati Musical director, Poonam Gandhi. She has been a winner at Boogie-Woogie dance show and has to her credit choreography opportunities for television shows like Basera, Dance India Dance, Nach Baliye, and India’s Got Talent.
